Paris is one of my favorites cities ever and here i will be sharing my trip and some tips about it....
Paris is the most visited city in the world , and because of it popularity you can find a tons of articles about what to visit , you can have many choices where to go , but to help you figure it out, this is a selection of my favorite places to visit in Paris , specially during winter holidays :
1-The Eiffel Tower :
The Eiffel Tower is the most famous sight in Paris , the most seen and the most popular.
My first day in Paris was rainy but for me it was a must to see the Eiffel Tower , i took the metro to Bir Hakiem station and walk about 5 minutes , and then i was in front of the Eiffel Tower !!
Although i was in Paris for almost 3 hours but it was only at this right moment i realised how lucky i was, been in the most famous sight in the world !
Tip: To get to the top of the Eiffel Tower faster , it's best to buy tickets early enough online .
2- Notre Dame Cathedral of Paris:
After visiting the Eiffel Tower now its time to visit one of the oldest and most imposing cathedrals in France, the Notre Dame cathedral of Paris , this was a dream for me.
The cathedral was built in the 12th century and was finally finished 300 years later.
We can notice a French Gothic architecture, but it was also influenced by the times during it construction – more than 300 years !!-
Surrounded by water, entry to Notre Dame is free, you only have to go through security and you will be enjoying the most famous religious building in Paris.
3- the bridge of Pont Alexandre III :
Do you know the bridge of Pont Alexandre III ? if not it is simply and incredibly beautiful. The bridge is about 15 minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower and is certainly worth a visit. It is not for nothing that some freshly married Asians and locals and photographer groups can be seen
here.
4-Arc de Triomphe :
In the end of the famous Champs-Élysées street , the Arc de Triomphe is built in memory of those who died during the French Revolution and Napoleonic wars and its an iconic building in Paris and one of the most beautiful.
Tip: To be in the middle, you can dive in at the underpass and go to the top of the triumphal arch for only 3€ . The view is worth it as soon as you have climbed the many stairs.
4- Tour Montparnasse :
The highest tour in Paris to see the Eiffel Tower from the other side
5- The Louvre
During my stay in Paris i couldn’t visit all the museums, so I had to choose one , wish was The Louvre.
if you have the same choice to make, i highly recommend you to visit this incredible museum , its not only one of the world’s most famous museums, it is also home to an incredible collection of art, like Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo, Michelangelo’s Dying Slave and the Great Sphinx of Tanis .
There are some tips to make the most of it and save time and money while visiting The Louvre. tips i will be sharing in another article :) so stay toned ;)
Near the Louvre is also the Palais Royale . Besides the beauty of the palace and the somewhat untypical courtyard, the palace also has a beautiful garden. Ideal for a romantic walk. To enjoy the beauty of the courtyard and the garden, you do not have to pull out your wallet because its free
6- The Galeries Lafayette
Although I am not a big fan of shopping The Galeries Lafayette department store was for me the most beautiful department store I have ever seen. It opened in 1912 and you can find many brands and enjoy shopping there if you can afford it ;)
For me I only took some wonderful pictures and keep up with my visit of Paris.....i bought some gift from Here
